Over 15 days, you’ll explore essential topics—from knowing yourself and your industry to mastering pricing, cash flow basics, and customer service. By the end, you’ll walk away with a practical business plan, foundational business skills, and the confidence to launch a successful venture.
This QCTO-accredited programme (NQF Level 2, 32 credits) is perfect for aspiring entrepreneurs ready to launch a new venture or for small business owners looking to strengthen and grow their enterprises. Upon completion, learners will be able to:
The New Venture Creation Entrepreneurial Skills course requires the following:
Active Participation: You take responsibility for your own learning and time management.
12 Formal Contact Days: Structured, participative sessions using a Learner Workbook for formative assessments and class activities.
Three Practical Days: Hands-on application in your workplace, where you complete Knowledge Questions and Practical Activities for summative assessment.
Business Plan Project: Construct a supervised project/business plan (often workplace-based), and maintain a logbook of related activities.
Facilitator Support: Guidance during contact sessions, feedback on activities, and assistance in identifying coaching or mentoring needs.
Workplace Mentor: Regular meetings to review course topics, gain insights, and clarify questions.
Ongoing Evaluation: Continuous assessment through integrated multiple-choice questions, formative tasks, and summative assessments.
Portfolio of Evidence (PoE): Compile your Learner Workbook, all assessments, project/business plan evidence, and mentorship records (log sheets, progress reports, evaluations) into a PoE for assessment.
Delivery: Training sessions can be done online with a facilitator or in person at your company's premises.
Group requirements: Please note that this is only offered for groups of 10 or more with maximum of 30 in a programme.
